Yes, all of the total chaos stuff comes in tomorrow, including the long travel axle shafts. Figured having new birfields would be good, relatively inexpensive insurance vs reusing the 150k mile ones currently on the truck.

I tend to go overkill on carrying spare parts on the trail too, so i'll toss the current joints (without shafts) into vacuum sealed bags with some new boots, to bring along on wheeling trips in case I blow one out on a trail.

Juatbout of curiosity, is there a big difference between the Napa CV axles and Toyota ones?

The joints themselves are supposedly stronger. I haven't broken a CV, but plenty of people I've wheeled with have, and it was always the same feedback, that they had used both and the Toyota ones hold up to abuse better.

    Exhausted!

I've done almost all the work on my cars since I started driving. I'm too old to be dropping a transmission.

small nitpick but technically the cam on the pass side should be facing up not down. :anonymous:

Had another shop do the alignment. As long as it tracks straight....

Been used to driving a new loaner car using their gas. But back in the GX today. Rear main seal leak fixed. It was an oring behind the plate that was brittle and leaking. Rear axle seal replaced. All TPMS sensors replaced since the light was blinking. Apparently there was 3 aftermarket sensors in the wheels.
All those replaced with Denso sensors.

@Jeffvt0508 did you ever sell your RTT . I'm looking for one . Mainly the clamshell style since I'm mounting it on the 4Runner but if price is right might look at the standard box style RTT but still leery about how top heavy I'll be

I'm so conflicted. It's only 15 minutes from me, so I feel like I have to go. but from last year's videos it just didn't look like a great time. I know it rained a ton, so it was a muddy mess, but even if it were dry, the off roading doesn't look much different than the Francis Marion. Leaning towards just getting the Saturday pass. Likely to socialize more than drive, unless they up the "challenge" course game this year.
