No doubt it's a nice all-in-one form, but it's basically what I'm running but for more money and less capacity but it comes in a fancy Milwaukee packout.

Save your cash, battery prices are coming down. $800 for a big battery + that Redarc charger for like $400-500 + misc wiring to hook it all together for less than $1500. I'll still sell my existing 206Ah battery plus a Victron shunt for $500obo and with that plus a Redarc you'd be in for under $1k.

I like this concept. Eventually, I want to rebuild my sleeping platform to include an auxiliary battery and fridge. But, I like being able to take it out and have the back seats available most of the time. I'll definitely check this out for ideas.

So how many watt/hours is that? How does it compare to something like a Jackery 1000?

It looks like it was a 100 amp hour battery, which is 1200 Watt hours. But, I don't recall what the actual usable capacity is on those batteries. That would be a good question for @wi_taco .

My post from yesterday gave a hint.

If I ask Alexa a truck question, she gets mad and says that she identifies herself as a Toyota Tech named Scott :D

Ok, so if it's only 1200 watt hours, that's super expensive. My Jackery 1000 is basically what they created, but it's 1000 watt hours (hence the name) but it cost me just over $600.

I got the impression that was the price for it and installation in your truck. Buying just the components and building yourself should be way less but more than $600 probably.

I know the underpinnings of your frustrations very well from rec leadership and projects (MTB, ski, angling), land ownership, and being a big news and what's really going on in politics such as attending hearings, reading agreements, budgets and regulations.

You are for sure correct on the clout or power that industry has. In WI we are also 14 years into fundamental changes in funding where many use groups still expect services and resources everyone used to be more willing to pay for. There are parallels in some federal lands too. Joining advocacy groups for your interests helps if you don't want to be sleeves rolled up for action.

Educating tourism groups that get heads and beds (alcohol too) revenue helps. Your MTB riding and the swim is a perfect point. The strongest current era and growing tourism is not as a lot of "up north" has been for generations. Many have not yet come to that reality.

I'm really diverse in my interests compared to many and love public and special lands so do my best to accept how things are and be positive and correct in how we can make things better.

After seeing his, the desire to own one is real. It would be unwise for me to do that, especially considering I have no place to keep it. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
