I traded my Taco on a Ferd a couple weeks ago. Miserable tow experience into a headwind. Went back to a V8.

    Might be the case too.

Think I might go back to try the gt216aa in a standard size though.

Wife and I plan to order a "Ferd" next year... but we'll be keeping the Taco. We want something with we can drive around and not be 2000 pounds over GVWR...

Nice nice! Very shiny truck lol

Did they do better valving on the f150 fx4 shocks? On my ranger fx4 I'd go over bumps and it would rock me all over the place.

No clue. Rides like a truck. The only time I've driven a truck that didn't was in the Ram I test drove, but that's because it's not a leaf setup in the rear.

I turned mine in and purchased a very nice used f250. No more gear hunting on the highway!.00J0J_j4Ge5NFcJEQ_0CI0lM_1200x900_135224735526590(1).jpg

Soooooo.... does this mean you are NOT selling the FZ1? Not looking for a GSXR? (Im quoting this for historical preservation so you cant edit your post when you do buy something hahahahahah).

I have really liked the IRC GP1's (2.75x21 and 4.10x18) on my lil Xt225 for 98% street riding, Not sure as to their longevity, have about 1k miles on em at this point and both are showing some wear but easily still have 2-3k miles in them, and I dont ride nice. Poor XT225 is ridden essentially like it has an on off switch for throttle and brakes are stabbed / rear skidded all the time. They handle lean angles on the street great and they have actually really surprised me off road as well.

Main reason I go them is they were cheap. There are most definitely better options in those sizes for pure street use but when I got them the whole "xt225 as an around town bike grom replacement" was a test. If I can find them cheap again when these are worn out id buy again.

Shinko 216mx Fatty.... significantly cheaper than a GT, same tread pattern. If you want softer they have the cheater compound. I have gone back and forth between a standard 80/100-21 front and a "fatty" 90/100-21 on my dirtbike in various tires. And while yes the "fatty" tires extra width can sometimes grab things on the edges that a standard size wouldnt in a say a rut, and the extra rotational weight at speed is marginally noticeable in terms of flickability of the bike, the extra sidewall height and beef of the tire outweighs those small things, IMO the bike feels more planted (due to more rotational weight) and much less issues with pinch flats with extra sidewall.

I always come back to a Shinko 216mx fatty and Kenda Trackmaster 2 rear when I deviate on my dirtbike - FOR THE RIDING I DO. I say that last part as off road riding can so DRASTICALLY change depending on region or use case.

Yes the FZ1 is still for sale! Yes I still want another GSXR 750. The Klx is just so much fun to rip around on. The exhaust sounds awesome and you can pin the throttle in every gear but only go 90 maybe. It is super light and easy to throw around. It’s kinda of like the feeling I get from riding the monkey. Dirt bike on the street and mini bike on the street ,,,, feels like I am doing something I am not supposed too.

Try a naked bike and with dirt bike style bars. It will feel just like a dirt bike with way more power. I love my klx351 but my z650 is a bunch of steps up from that but both extremely fun playful bikes!

I ran the gt in the fatty size too. Didn't have any issues with climbing out of ruts but I raised the forks a line to compensate. Think I'll still try it in a regular size to see if I like the size with the tread.

I think I like the 80/100 without any drawbacks. It's a little more nimble than I remember the 90/100 being. But the gt never dumped me on my ass like this m59 has so far.

As far as shinko the stinko, lol. I've had cheap tires and just haven't had the greatest luck. Id rather spend the extra bucks for name brand.

Side note: debating about what knee pads/braces to look at. Friend suggested mobius but damn those are expensive. I was thinking leatt 3df otherwise.

All packed up and ready to go! Now to drive 4.5 hours to the meet and greet! Also side note for me this is why I hate ground tents... You gotta pack everything in the truck... All my stuff is in that big camp mat back there so at least it's in there but still...

Sounds like you need a crew cab. :D :boink:

At least your gripe about ground tents is the packing and not the fact that you wake up with your spine being the world's most unfun game of jenga.

    Congrats!

Reflective stickers help a lot with visibility if you don't have some already. I and others use wheel tape, I think someone else in here uses those hexagon stickers
