    Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to get some advice regarding my Toyota Tacoma. The gas filler neck seems to be just hanging loosely inside the gas door. I feel like there might be a part missing, possibly a collar or some sort of support that goes around the neck to hold it in place.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? If I'm right about a missing part, could someone provide the part number? Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

I did just buy the truck.

Thanks for the links. It's hard to know if the collar is part of the whole assembly or a standalone part.

This. If it's a dealer, take it back and ask them to fix it. They might not, but they would have to turds not to,, even if it was sold as is.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Maybe there was a collision, maybe not.
Regardless, it begs the question: Why was the collar removed and not replaced?
Was it a result of R&R the fuel tank for some unknown reason?

Working on a lien delete for my title…..
Maybe pull the 4 screws and see if the plastic trim comes right off. I removed mine to clean and the neck just gets pushed into the trim. If it slides right off, something isn’t right. If there’s resistance around the neck, it may just need to be pushed on.

the screws look like they’ve never been touched. Simple test at no cost.
