How many people store their bikes outside? Me personally have never
No Ktm or husky. Don’t need that much power or weight. I think either some 17/17 wheels for my Klx or some street tires for the 21/18 set up. I can really ride the stock DS tires pretty aggressively.

When i lived in an apartment i had to keep them in the parking lot or my storage unit about half a mile away (aside from the ct90 i rebuilt over a winter in my 2nd floor apartment..). I bought a 100’ extension cord so I could string it out the front door and put a battery tender on my bike in the parking lot. Otherwise i’ve always found a way to put my bikes in the garage. Most was when I had 5 plus my wife’s jeep in our 1 car garage at our old condo.

As a previous owner. Bleh. It's better than a lot of other options but it's not a great bike by any means.

In my own terms i call it a more powerful drz.
Take the truck out of the garage.
Never have, never will. I've had storage units but that's as close as I'd get

Nowhere else to put it if I do because the driveway is already full. Kind of stuck with everything as it is

I've had at least 1 of mine outside at any given time for the past 2 years because I can't find enough garage space for them all and the truck has nowhere else to go either. Is what it is and more convenient to use it when parked outside in my case.

Have able to get to it whenever cause it's my main transportation. Errands, school commute. Gotta have easy access. Not like being outside will really hurt it at the end of the day either.

Busy road and HoA doesn't allow it either way. Been a few years and we've already experimented with the options and never really found something that works.

I had dedicated elbow pads before but hated the feel. I agree on the heat so I wear the Moose XCR since it only has padding in critical spots and is mesh everywhere else.

    For knee's I wear TP199's

just a couple of things tbh
nope I dislike crew cabs lol
The ground does suck but my back is pretty well fucked so I just deal with it

Yes but I don't put my clothes in the bed or the camp Mat it's my dad's from when he was a kid so I always put it in the cab to not ruin it same with my tools. The ground tents and canopy and other stuff were all in the bed
you do realize I have certain things in the cab and certain things in the bed? The point is the fact ground camping you gotta bring a lot vs my roof top tent I brought a pillow and that was it lol

That sounds like a good reason to not sleep on the ground. Have you thought about getting a RTT on the new truck?

Never! Also I'm currently standing in the road at my camp site it's the only spot with service lmao!

I have yes but if buy a used simple one since our plan is to buy a 3-4k lbs toy hauler trailer next year for me and the gf. So wouldn't wanna spend much and then not use it lol.

I gave serious thought into buying a toy hauler about 10 years ago and was even shopping for one for a while. Biggest issue I found was anything half ton towable was so cheaply and poorly made I doubted it would more than a couple seasons of actual use. Look the over very carefully if you shop for one. I realized that for my use I would be better off buying an enclosed ramp door cargo trailer and making it into a camper if I wanted to camp and haul my bike or bikes. Would also be more versatile as additional storage when needed.

Once upon a time I had a 18' tandem axle car hauler trailer. I always thought it would be cool to put a pickup camper on the front of it and leave the rear of the trailer open for the quads, etc. But I never did it, sold everything. Now I just have a pickup with an 8' bed and a tandem axle 5x10 utility trailer, hauls anything I've needed to haul.

I feel the same. Honestly, the biggest barrier is the price. Covid made the affluent yuppies and hipsters go camping and they were all to happy to throw money at whatever was on the lot plus mark ups. Quality dropped, prices soared, and even if quality is recovering the prices aren't coming back down. Camping used to be something the average and low income people did, but now it's been invaded and taken over. You can't get a well built camper trailer that isn't either loaded with garbage you don't need, or is priced like it's loaded but has a fold out tent bed.

Check out the Intech Flyer Discover. It's all aluminum so rot isn't an issue, has enough space for a couple of bikes, a slide out "kitchen" area, and is plenty light enough for a half ton. Downsides are the fold out bed is a tent and the price is absurd. By all accounts they are quality, but since minimalist became a buzzword and trendy it also became expensive.

I'd love to get a little trailer with no plumbing and an outdoor galley, but I want AC/heat available. Well that basically puts me in the teardrop segment, but my gosh do they think those are made of gold. The only way you get into them sub 10 grand is if they don't have anything but the axle and the box. Best I've found with AC is the Runaway Campers, but I don't like the steel frames or tongues that look a bit weak. Forgoing the AC I like the Road Toad Campers because of the all aluminum/composite construction. Downside to both is that they are so short/small you can't really stand up in them (Except one model from Runaway), so they are really just a place to sleep.
