And a mighty fine looking 4Runner at that.

When I was a kid, if someone said "so,"
The reply was,,," so so buttons on your underwear and zippers on your socks."

    :notsure:

How do I remember stuff like that, but I can't remember coming home from work?

Well it was pre internet days. All we had back then was kick rocks and stare at the sun.

I was going to say something about playing with matchbox cars in the sand box, but I still do that only the cars and sandbox have gotten bigger!

Gave the boy a shot at the wheel again. He got a bit indecisive when it came to picking a lane, though, he does like to tell me. "where we're going we don't need roads" so....20240907_173657.jpg

We weren't stuck there. *switching drivers.
I fell in a big driver side sandy rut, coming down a hill.
4L didn't bring it out. Turned Crawl on and that pulled me right out.
    No winches necessary today.

We also had dirt bikes and .22 rifles when I was a kid. Living in the country helped. :):)

Exactly! I make sure to get my daily into decidedly non-daily situations at least once a year.

If I ever get this promotion that I've been running for for the past 3 months, I might even be able to get the daily into decidedly non-daily situations more than once a year

I would occasionally not wear a helmet, especially if it was just a short ride to check something. One time, after re-ringing it, I went for a quick spin to start seating the new rings, just an easy spin. Well, by the 3rd turn, I hit 4th gear, grabbed a handful of throttle, and tucked the front. While I was sliding on my shoulder, I watched a rock go past my face. To this day, I wear a helmet every time I'm going to ride more than 100 yards.
