This mechanic is such a hack. Apparently he thee out the original crank sensor that he took off, and who knows what sensor he put on to replace it. And the he says “I have no use for it” as if it was his part to throw away in the first place. I have no idea why he has so many rave reviews!

Yea the guys an idiot. Hopefully the bad compression can still be diagnosed with the P0335 code being present.

The 1st one I’ve been dealing with this whole time. He also insisted that the 5VZ is an interference engine. One quick google search would tell you that’s not the case. I’m so fucking done with these brain damaged fly by night shade trees. Time for an actual competent mechanic.

Yea I have it there and he’ll take a look Monday. I’m just pissed that now with the P0335 code it won’t start with or without good compression.

Would electrical issues cause bad compression results though?

I still don't believe he did a compression test. Or if he did didn't do it right.

I was swayed by the 4.9 stars on Google. Maybe that’s just all his cousins tho.

Possibly. It’s wild that he never even answered me when I asked if he did a leak down. A compression test doesn’t even tell you that much if you don’t do a leak down also.

No but that'll stop it from running. Putting the belt on without everything in the right position will cause low comp though.

At this pint all bets are off. I’m gonna have to eat another several hundred dollars to have the new mechanic tell me what all this guy did. Hopefully there’s a way to tell if a timing job wasn’t done right without taking it all apart again.

Walking Dex tonight and suddenly in a flash of split second he just shoves his head into a shrub and pulls it out with an animal clung to his face, flinging his head about and around in full circles like he was trying to get it off. Thought he grabbed a small hateful raccoon but it was yet another possum.

At this point I’m convinced that Dex only has the skills necessary to kill possums, which are basically nature’s freebies
