smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
    And spindles
    And hubs
    And wheels
    Lol
my taco is on race drilled beadlocks
So still taco bolt pattern but not gonna work for the diameter mismatch
And I have fabbed spindles with D44 hubs
    So no swapping there either

and I don’t recall but there was some issue with 2nd and 3rd gen arms not working wasn’t there?
    3rd gen works on 2nd
But not the other way? I don’t recall

    don’t get me wrong
I appreciate the shit out of your offer and idea

    I was thinking more like
Stack some pallets under it and use car dollys or something
But thought someone might be more clever

Like when guys send a chasis off to sandblast

I found a set of wheels and tires for my 87 bronco for 400 bucks, spindles will be most expensive. Check junk yard for spindle? It’s doable just a hassle and will cost some coin

If you're using a flatbed wrecker to move it, why not just winch it right on up as is? If you're worried about scraping up concrete just toss some plywood under it to drag it on.

A lot of tow companies in my experience will not collect it if it is going to heavily trash their bed or be a problem to unload…
    But yeah
Just some wood and a winch would be cool with me if it was my flatbed :anonymous:

Didn't take pictures of the Eye Hooks. I drilled straight through for the threaded part of the Eye Hook, fastened and torqued the nuts on the bottom. And welded the Eye Hook at the top.

Something that I didn't take into consideration was the thickness of the Tire Strap Hook, I needed to take some material off for clearance.

Sounds like you need to pay a high schooler $20 to steal you some cafeteria trays. Duct tape them to the frame and slide that thing right on and off with a light breeze.

How are you guys attaching your bedsides/fender supports? After a couple of you posted those hood pin posts I started watching my hood and fenders and they are flopping all over the place even just driving on smooth freeways. I’m sure the rears are just as bad.

I saw this dude’s video and he’s using 1” DOM which seems a bit over kill and then I’ve seen a couple other videos of people hammering flat some conduit which looks easier but obviously isn’t as strong (and doesn’t look at good). Mine are just attached with some aluminum flat stock which I’m sure will eventually crack with enough time.

Just fork lift on and off. Any wrecker/scrap yard will have a forklift. your truck weighs basically nothing. That's how I moved my truck when we moved shops.

I used 1” for mine, but I also hung some mudflaps off of it. Slightly oversized the hold in the bedside so any flex between the frame and bed wouldn’t crack the bedsides, at least not there lol.

About to ditch the slee underhood mount for ARB twin and put it in the bed cubby.
Anyone run this? I'm hoping it will stay sturdy with abuse.

Another thing I hate is inflating with hood open and an air hose precariously close to my drive belts.

I don’t think I have exactly that one, but I have had the expedition portal or something for about six years of whoops. The bed And Metal ‘box’ are solid.

    * EDIT: expedition essentials, not portal…

Yeah expedition essentials is the original one, I’ve got one with a single, had to close the top up when I did fiberglass bedsides to keep dirt from piling in but works awesome! Also the owner is a super nice guy meet him when I picked mine up from him.

Does anyone know if JD fabrication is still in business? Their website has been down for a few days.

What's the most effective way to make king shocks shiny again? My brother picked up a Tacoma with some musty kings.

The shocks were rebuilt about 5k miles ago but it just needs some shine

Once they get nasty the plating is toast. You can try fine steel wool and wd40 but they will get gross quick again. Cerakote is the best option!
