Spider season is something else here right now. My basement has some big bastards this year as does my garden

 

we have the future in-laws frenchie here for the next month or so.... talk about am annoying brat

 

Same. Mostly harmless jumping spiders and those wrinkly nutsack ones I've talked about before like that to make webs right in doorways and places outside that you walk face-first into. Otherwise not a big bother.

But then there's the black and mostly brown widows that hide in every shadowy place in the yards, have to watch out for those. I used to spray for them every year but stopped with the kids around and when we got Dex.

 

Owner of our company has one of those, or I should say his wife does. I've been around it a bunch when he's in town and we do photoshoots at his LA house. I don't understand the appeal, they're like pugs...their existence mocks nature

I have the occasional black widow, but they're pretty uncommon, mostly just giant house spiders and jumping spiders. The jumping spiders are super neat and they're super calm, they'll play with you if you put your hand near them. The giant house spiders are low energy, they just hang out on the walls waiting for prey and they don't move very fast.

Oakley almost never barks. Hunter will bark when someone comes to the door but thats about it.
Oakley also doesn’t care if you leave him outside over night but hunter will start to howl all night if he gets left outside

Yeah my dogs will talk sometimes. I can also get them to howl if i start howling

 

last day of our monster heat wave and the building AC at work decides to take a dump.

I've only heard Dex howl twice and both times were when Sofia was playing her harmonica, and yes he was probably begging her to stop

He does do these low howls and whine/kick a lot in his sleep sometimes

This happens every summer I've worked here, we lose it at least once a year usually during the worst time. So I low key expected it and should be happy it's at the end of this heatwave at least.

 

Meanwhile the old package unit on the roof is off on high pressure on three of its four stages and has one working condenser motor and the most plugged economizer screens of all time.
