Squeaking noise when truck starts

Whats good guys, I have a 2024 tacoma TRD sport. I bought it about a month ago. Recently, when I start the truck, it makes two squeaking sounds. Has anyone experienced this?

 

No I haven’t heard it on my truck

 

I have not experience this.

 

I hear this noise as well but, only if I'm in my garage. I think it echos off the walls where I can hear it. I'm not sure what is causing it though.

 

Mine does it all the time. not real sure what it is. It's just another annoying thing this truck does. I thought it was the Hybrid kicking off as this is the first vehicle I have had with that.

 

Could be the belt....

 

Most of us have a squeak when the AC turns on.

 

or the electric parking brake engaging and disengaging. Sometime I hear mine, sometimes I dont.

 

I have this too. Only happens when the truck sat for a while and the AC is on. Makes a chirping noise. It's definitely related to the AC. Maybe the belt or clutch. I'm going to mention it during my 10k service.

 

My 2024 TRD OffRoad squeaks twice when cold when you start it. Maybe 1-2 going down the road if I carefully listen with no radio, then it shuts up. I suspect it's the AC clutch.

Mine does it as well. When it's hot out it only does it a couple of times. Cool mornings it does it every time the compressor cycles. Taking it in on Friday the 13th to have it looked at. Mechanic at my base says it's the magnetic clutch engaging on the compressor.

 

I have the same issue. Happens only on a cold start and if I have the air turned on. Ill be bringing this up on my 10k service as well

 

I haven't had this one yet. I always turn off the AC before parking in my shop though because I don't want the condensation drip to reach my wood cabinets.

 

Wanted to get some more feedback on this. I switched my AC to recirculation mode today and noticed far less squeak happening.

Anyone able to test this?

 

I tested this this morning and would agree with you. It still chirps but definitely less with the recirculation on.

 

my truck that i just turned in did it also...
figured it was just a start up noise from the compressor clutch, more so than a belt squeak.
would be cool if soeone actually leaves their truck at dealer overnight & gets an actual diagnosis....
