96 tacoma drivers side seat buckle replace

    hello, i took the drivers side seat out of my 96 tacoma dlx 4x4 to replace the seat buckle...well it looks complacated. any thoughts on that, or does the insert pop out to repair..tks in advance

    Bucket seats or 60/40 bench?

    xtra cab or single cab?

    the buckle mounted to seat frame

    The belt that mounts to inr cab
    ?

    Reserected from the dead.
    I rebuild Tacoma and Tundra's. I send my seat belt assemblies to be rebuilt.

    I use a company out of Georgia.

    Myairbags.com

    They can rebuild any seatbelt.

    myself and another member just did a 60/40 to bucket swap
    (my 96 taco Xtra cab got the buckets)
    search for my thread.....really good pix of differences between xtra cab and single cab buckle differences

    if you just need buckle, super easy one 14mm bolt....might have to remove seat bc of center console
    there is a 2 wire harness with pigtail but easy to get to
    hard thing is to source the buckle from junkyard/ebay/etc


    now if the belt(like the spring doesnt retract or belt is frayed)
    would totally go with koditten's recommendation
