I had a hell of a time balancing my Grabbers. Also went to a few different shops, each one called the other shops idiots, but yet still couldn't iron out the infamous 60mph shimmy. Not sure if they weren't using the right adaptors (lug-centric vs hub-centric) or if their machines/techs were just crap. Finally took it to Berlin City Toyota in Portland (where my buddy worked at the time) and they've gotten it absolutely spot on twice since then.

As much as I usually hate saying "take it to the dealer", it's probably your best bet especially if you run beefy rubber.

Agreed, I also hate going to the dealership. Maybe I will give them a call.

Your situation sounds exactly like mine. I put on Falken Wildpeak AT4's. No the beefiest tire but pretty beefy.

    Thank you!

No problem! Yeah, mine aren't huge either, but they're E-load and tend to be a little more finnicky to balance over stock highway tires, what with 20-odd extra pounds of rubber/steel/nylon slinging around.

Also check you haven't lost any weights on either of your drums. Unlikely given the age of your truck, but recently happened to me. A little scrap of flat bar and JB weld fixed it right up :D

Surprising what a difference such little weight makes

I had a similar experience. Tried to go with a local tire shop but they couldn't get it right. Took it to Berlin City and they sorted it out immediately.

My SSO bumper has finally arrived. I'm not sure the installer I had lined up is going to be able to do it. Does any one have a recommendation for a place that might be able to install it (bumper with a light bar, no winch install right now) in case the person I have lined up backs out? I'm in Windham.

I want to get an undercoating (like fluid film) before the fall comes, any recommendations on who to use in the Portland area? I see Prestige advertises and also does tinting, which I might do the the front passenger windows. Thanks!

So I see someone mentioned Archies and Precision Transmission, both in Wells.

Has anyone used these for a rear gear or are they just good in general at what they do?

Looking at a 4.88 and want to see if I could so a one day job.

Anyone burn wood pellets? Im getting my stove fired up for the first time this week.

Ordered a ton of the Upcountry Hardwood Mix last week for $339 delivered. Seem to have a good BTU content and reasonable ash at 0.5%. Not as good as some, but not terrible either. Guess we'll see how they burn this season
