    @vssman Paul, I bought a HF rig from a member of my local radio club yesterday. It’s an Icom 706 Mk2G, HF/VHF/UHF rig with an external antenna tuner. I had been looking at a Yaesu 891 but this was offered at “club member” price that I couldn’t pass up.

    It’s been gone over by the club grand Elmer who used to be a certified radio tech and still has all his shop scopes and analyzers. It’s in perfect shape, you would never know it’s 15-20 years old.

    Now to get an antenna built and strung up and we can try for a QSO.
