I believe I overfilled my transmission when doing a drain and refill and now I see fluid leaking. Did I just blow a seal or did some fluid leak through a vent?

Leaking from where? Did you use a new crush washer on the overfill drain plug?

I couldn’t get a good look because it got everywhere and I didn’t have time to take a deeper look because I was stuck between a rock and a hard place earlier

It sounds like you did it out of order as there's no way you can overfill it if removing the overfill drain plug was your last step.

Not unless they didn't get the fluid up to temp before replacing the overfill bolt. That would leave the tranny overfilled slightly.

Do the drain and fill process again. Allow the trans to reach temp, use a new crush washer, torque to spec and clean everything up really good. Then inspect for any leaks to confirm. Guessing game otherwise.

It would come out the vent

Not really an issue, except for the mess, and fire risk if it drips onto hot exhaust

    Correct the level, degrease, done
