2018, barely 60k on truck. I’d wash under the truck after some winter roads here in the northeast. Seem to be peeling from under step and then gets worse. going to see what dealer says ?

I doubt Toyota is going to be much help, maybe if it is the dealer that sold and installed, they may help a bit.
These aluminum accessories all seem to shed their powder coat sooner than later.

Since you're well past the warranty period, the dealer will probably be happy to quote you on a repaint?

I wonder what it would cost to have them stripped and hard anodized.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
You can probably find a set someone (like me) pulled off when they first bought their truck. My wife and I are both relatively short and found them just something to step over when the truck was stock height.

They have 60 thousand miles of protecting the rocker paint from the sand blasting without mud flaps...

Scrap and replace with someone's takeoffs. They aren't real popular with folks who off-road.

Since they are aluminum.. id sand as much off as you can and truck bedliner them.. you can always touch up if needed.. if you use the roll on kind it looks really good covers blemishes and is good for touch ups it also adds good traction

You're in NJ, salt, brine, Calcium chloride 1/2 the year, normal. Remove them, get them sand/soda blasted and rhino lined if you like them.

I’ve touched mine up with a shaker can numerous times. Not best solution, but does look better. That bed liner paint coating sounds like a great idea!

Living in the north east I went with the Toyota plastic covered ones. Too many years dealing with corroding running boards.

Contact a spray on bedliner company, and have them coated. I did that with the sets on my last 2 trucks, no peeling issues. I used LineX, they utilized a uv matte topcoat to prevent uv fading. Ski

We're in Cuba at the moment and folks are driving roads worse than your pic, in cars. Electric bikes. Horse and buggy. And regular bikes. Pretty amazing what you can do when you have to make do.

Some of their 'streets' are worse than 'trails' done in US. :D
