I am going to buy another Tacoma. The options and trim i want are:

    6’ bed
    4wd SR5 and up
    Cold weather package
    Bronze or underground
    Dark interior
No port or dealer added accessories

Id like an Offroads lockers but it isnt worth 5k extra to me but if it was a premium package it might be worth it. I would like the bigger screen but its not worth 5k in don’t care stuff upgrade package. I would like the lower gear ratio but I don’t know what package has that.

I have not driven a HV but it might be an option if they have a 6’ bed one that is not a 65k Trailhunter. Do they even have 6’ bed non Trail hunter HV in production?

I have had a 6’ bed SR5 reserved for a month but they only have white or black ones with thousands in unwanted port stuff like predator steps etc. I am wondering if its just the dealer I chose or the whole region has super limited 6’ bed options.

Also planning to get a Smart cap or Alu-cab camper.

your gonna have to go to https://www.toyota.com/tacoma/ and use inventory search to find something close to what you want... the filters on there suck also. whats HV mean?

Finding “True Car” is better than Toyotas Smartpath.

HV is code for hybrid I think. Not really sure what the OP wants unless he is just stating that he is going to by a 4th gen. He can go here and see a snap shot of the live inventory at the dealers as of this morning: https://github.com/kissmygritts/flatdata-vehicle-inventory/blob/main/data/toyota-inventory.csv

Good luck, you have to pick from what's built. You cannot custom order a truck. Take your time and you can find what you want

Or rather, what's built or allocated. I told my dealer what I was looking for. He found an allocation, and three weeks later, it was in the factory's parking lot.

6' bed is only on the non hybrids and the Trailhunter.

6ft bed Off-road (comes with rear locker) with heated seats and 14" audio/ multimedia package for $585 and $845 would be $45,825

Finding what you want really depends on your region and if you want to travel. Set the smarpath search radius to 500 miles and sort by price. Or if you are willing use an online broker that has a set inventory then travel or have it shipped to you.

When i was making a reservation a month ago an OR with the large screen was 50k and zero on the dealers region . Utah. Which package comes with that for 45k?

When I was shopping, I didn't see any trucks that didn't come with some port accessories. After I decided on the trim level and packages I wanted/needed, then it was just trying to find the right truck on the lots around me. My white SR5 CCLB came with the most stupidest of all - the $70 option for the phone charging cables. But other than that ridiculous option, I did get lucky as my truck didn't have a bunch of other stuff added aside from items I wanted (mud flaps, tailgate insert, tie downs). But, $40k for a truck and it didn't come with ANY type of floor mats (carpeted or all weather), and the parts department had nothing to offer. Overall, I feel like I was fairly lucky that I found the truck essentially as I wanted it.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Floor mats are an option? Wow. I can't begin to imagine all the other areas they cut costs from.

i keep checking the 8 dealers near me. They never have the options I want which aren't that big of an ask. I might start looking out of state next. But I have a Trade in so it gets more complicated.

Floor mats are almost always a port installed accessory, and have been for a long time. That's not just a Toyota thing, either.

If you see it early enough, and put down a deposit, your dealer can change or remove port installed options. They just need to submit a request in their system. If they tell you they can’t it is either because it is too late or the dealer is lying. Once it has gone through to port, it is too late. They cannot remove options that have already been installed.

I'd probably take the front felt skid pan off and use it. :notsure:

Go build the Tacoma on Toyotas site. You will see the options, adding heated seats and audio/multimedia options. That's what they are called. After that click finish and search inventory near you. It will automatically add those options to your set search area, then sort by price low to high.

Customer of mine recently purchased a 17whatevar Texass addition Tundra, was griping that his $60K+ truck didn’t even come with mud flaps, and he paid cash… lol!

Was at the dealer the other day, they had an OR on the lot with a 14” screen, heated seats, 6’ bed for sub $50K.

Pretty sure it was this one, don’t have the pictures uploaded yet.

Not to hijack the thread, but does this not include everybody? I've got my allocation held at a local, fairly prolific dealer and they don't show up on the CSV at all. I know they exist! The other two Toyota dealers in my area show up.

Can't answer that as I am not the creator of that report. I know it is supposed to strip the data from the Toyota website.

Fair enough. FYI, I took a look at the actual scripts. You're right; they call the Toyota inventory web API and then tweak the data into a semi-convenient spreadsheet. The list of dealers is specifically enumerated, though; if a dealer and it's "dealer ID" aren't in there, the data won't be reported. My dealer isn't in there for some reason. There's likely others; I might email the creator and ask them about it. If more members can identify dealers that aren't there and maybe figure out their "dealer ID," the dealers that aren't having their inventories reported can be included and make it easier for us to find vehicles we want by casting the net wider. At least until Toyota changes the API and it breaks, like happened with the VIN lookup thing you could use to find out where your vehicle was in the build/delivery process.

    Anyways, carry on!
