Thinking of selling my rig to upgrade to a full size. What’s everyone’s thoughts should i sell as is or part it out? 2015 80,000 miles. For part out all id sell is the roof rack with lights / camper

 

If you are selling to a dealer, they will give you pennies extra for all that you have done. If you find a buyer on Facebook or Craigslist they will pay you for the accessories.

 

It will be private party I am buying my dads 2500. Going to get it cleaned up next week and post it

 

I have a philosophy about selling vehicles. Over the years, I haven't minded as much about the tire kickers. But that last few PP sales have just been a giant cluster on the buyer's part. So now, I weigh the cost of selling vs the hassle and maybe I'm willing to take a bit less to not have to deal with the BS.

Not everyone agrees but it works for me.

i was asking $28k for it and got some serious buyers, but no one came out. lot of low ballers and flakers. after 2.5 months, i sold to a dealer for $24,000

 

Haha exactly. Been wanting to sell my truck but not deal with the BS. Been hoping someone approaches me, it gets stolen, totaled, or slides backward off the boat ramp… (guess which one of those almost happened )

Gonna post up my RSI smartcap hopefully this weekend and rest of the truck I’ll sell as is. Figure I’ll post the truck for 24k and see where things go. Should be a fair price I would think… if I could get 22 I’d be stoked.

 

Oooh. It is an underexplored area for me. But it is a lot quieter and chill up there. We were camping near Sierraville a few months ago.

The Western Pacific RR museum in Portola is cool. They have an old Unimog in their piles of rusting stuff. And you can drive a locomotive there. That's on my list.

Also, Sierra Valley is a major raptor cross roads from 3 different habitat types. We went out here with my wife's coworkers to the new visitor center before it opened to the public. They were just putting the finishing touches on it. https://northernsierrapartnership.org/sierra-valley-preserve
