If your anywhere in the path of these Storms, they all suck balls. I remember watching Hugo on TV in 1989, when I lived in Atlanta. So glad that I missed that storm. I moved to N.C. in 1993 and storm damage was still everywhere. Empty lots where houses or building had once stood. Tree stumps everywhere. I'm hoping I've been through my last major storm in my lifetime. I guess time will tell.

We have some minor earthquakes. They blame it on the oilfield fracking. Which is probably true because we didn’t used to have them

I know the city, just didn’t know which came first. My oldest son lives by the quad cities, Bettendorf Iowa.

 

I worked at a Pepsi distributor for 25 years. We introduced Cheerwine in this area and couldn’t give it away. We had a rep. from Cheerwine at a sales meeting one time and wanted to know what the problem was. He said Cheerwine was a big seller in North Carolina and I said well, you’re not in North Carolina, you’re in Pepsi and Mt. Dew country.

 

Lost power… it’s all downhill from here.
