Now you guys now that the entire state of maryland was put under marshall law the entire duration of the War between the states, and any person in any position of power or opposition of the Government in DC was arrested and incarcerated until the end of hostilities. The D.C. Government was terrified of Maryland and specifically Baltimore being so close and aligning itself with the southern states. Reason that I posted this, I was born in Baltimore, and thank God my Parents moved to Texas when I was 3 years old. But I spent all of my years in school arguing with Imbeciles that anyone below the Mason Dixon line was a southerner, and of course all I heard was your a Yankee!!! nough said
