I was changing the carrier bearing last (yes, if fixed my vibration) night and when i removed the driveshaft from the transmission, about 2 tablespoons worth transmission fluid came out with it. Is this normal or do i have a seal going out?

Don’t think that’s transmission fluid I believe there is a lubricant they add .

Guess I didn't think about that. It sure did smell like transmission fluid and was pink.

From the tailshaft the fluid came out? If so thats normal since the yoke of the driveshaft creates the seal.

Edit: Ignore me. We dont have a slip yoke on our trucks.

No you were right kinda. OP has 2wd so he has the slip yoke into the transmission. 4wd has the bolted flange into the transfer case.

OP you're fine. Just be careful sliding it back in.
