9/11 is particularly difficult here. There are a lot of memorial services around for the locals lost on that day. Most worked in NYC with one that was on the plane that hit the south tower. The names are read and a bell tolls for each. Names are also printed in the newspaper.

Louisville, which includes the entirety of Jefferson County, has a law against using cell phones while driving. Good law I'd say.
A few weeks back, I rolled up to a stop light and found myself next to a Louisville police car just as the light turned green. Off we w ent. As I looked over at the female officer, I couldn't help but notice her left hand through the steering wheel, holding her phone, which was lit up (on) She was looking in her rear view mirror, doing her make up with her right hand.
At that point I realized her distracted driving also had ME distracted.

Michigan has a no cell phone while driving unless hands free. Exceptions for police/ emergency vehicles, delivery drivers. It’s funny, you pull up to a traffic light, everyone has something wrong with their right leg, they all looking down. I have hands free, it’s still distracting for me.
I was at a blues festival a few weeks back, a couple of girls were smoking a joint and drinking a beer while talking to a cop . That was hard to get my head around

    Good afternoon to all.

I downloaded and listened to David Gilmour's brand new (Sept 6) album "Luck and Strange". I must admit, I have never been a huge Pink Floyd fan, though of course I am familiar with some of their more popular hits. I had no idea what to expect on this solo album, but I was very pleased with it. If I didn't know it was a brand new solo album from Gilmour, I would have absolutely believed it was a Pink Floyd album, at least in terms of his guitar work. People who are extremely familiar with Floyd material may feel I am on crack, I am certainly not looking to offend anyone with my observation. Just thought I'd pass that info along in case it may be of interest to anyone else here in the "50+" thread.

I'm a very big pink floyd fan. Haven't heard the album yet. The Syd Barrett days were...interesting

So I have read in several recent articles / interviews. You may feel this new album is not as Floydish as it sounds to me, as his / their guitar style may have changed through the years, but I love this new album. I have "Apple One" package, which includes Apple Music, Apple TV, iCloud.... so I can download unlimited music anytime I want for no additional costs. Very handy to try out a band you are not familiar with, and not be pissed that you paid $15+ for an album that you end up not liking.

I want to take a listen, I've always liked Gilmour's work. Pink Floyd never would've become what they did had they replaced Syd with anyone else.

Do you remember the July 4th and 5th 2019 large Earthquakes in Ridgecrest Calif ??? . July 4th was a 6.4 magnitude at 1034hrs and the following day a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit at 2028hrs

I was only 70miles from Ridgecrest when I lived in Hesperia CA back then . I felt like both earthquakes were so violent I couldn't stand up and fell to the ground . Both earthquakes lasted almost a minute long

The Owen's Valley is starting to wake up and if it does its going to be bad . Two new fault zones the Owens Valley strike slip fault and the Independence strike slip fault both are becoming active
