Does anyone know anything about a battery that is located under the rear seat on a hybrid model. While trying to install rear seat covers, i saw it. when I removed the 3 locking plastic gadgets, I saw a battery there. The truck at the dealer now so I don't know if that is the primary battery or is that a second battery. It looked just like a regular battery to me, but let me admit I don't know what a hybrid battery looks like either. Anyone?

I’m pretty sure that’s the high voltage hybrid battery under the rear seat. What I read is that the hybrid format have storage under the rear seat(s), so that would confirm.

2 batteries, the HV battery is on the passenger side, the 12v battery is on the drivers side.

Treat the 12v battery like any other battery. Leave the passenger side alone.

I stayed away from it but it certainly looked like a regular car battery in terms of size and shape.

Yup it is, it will be a pain to swap out one day, but there's nothing to be afraid of, except the price.

    Sealed AGM batteries are 400$

Is it a common size like we are used to (24F, 27F), or a unique Toyota only one?

Thank you very much! I assume the normal battery (not talking about the hybrid battery) under the seat is sealed so we don’t have to put water in it????
