    Good morning :pccoffee:

Costco run yesterday need to finish cutting up some protein packages and throw them in the freezer after my next cup of coffee. Leave in the morning tomorrow so cutting it close. Meal plan for the 4 of us includes walleye and grouse but have enough food for double the time we are there. Seems like always come back with more food then I leave with. Wait going hunting and fishing so that is the plan. Expensive grocery store in the woods. Hmm... Costco was $428 but that includes food for the house as well. And mountain money (toilet paper).

Law abiding?! By this age would hope that we have learned how to do undetected crime! :D

After 42 days of extreme heat and not a drop of rain, we have had (so far) 6 hours of pouring rain. I think I heard my lawn giggling.

We got 1.75" rain last night! I think we've had some rain just not a lot in last 42 days.

we've been pretty dry here too - couple of small storms but nothing major. until wednesday at about 4pm when a storm moved in and just sat over us, sort of spiraling around. finally clearing out this morning. should have helped the fires to calm down. especially since there was snow in the mountains.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
They were saying the Northern Lights were supposed to be good last night...couldn't tell. Too much light pollution, reflecting off of the smoke in the air from CA. Oh well, I hadn't gotten up specially for that, I was just up.

    Good Morning

I took the day off. In fact I took off every Friday for the rest of the year.
The grass has finally slowed down in growing.
    Leaves are starting to fall.
So begins my favorite time of the year.

    Morning all

    Morning Mr Rob.

It's the fine for taking a saw to a scrub oak.

One person in the city had 10 oaks that he had trimmed by a certified arborist, the city fined him $100k. They lost but what dicks.

I woke up to pee at 0200 this morning, heard the rain pounding down here, too. Not sure how much we got, as the chicken pen was not a total swamp like it can get with lots of rain. I don't keep track, but we rarely go more than maybe 3 weeks without rain year round. I was just thinking how odd it seems to me that @Bluegrass Taco and the Louisville general are seem to have such different weather patterns than we do, less than 200 miles away. But then I recall that my in-laws in London often have rain when we don't, and we have rain when they don't. And they are only 15 miles away. o_O:rofl:

Louisville has had a couple heavy rains during the same time period we had nothing. We're less than 20 miles away.
Today's rain just ended. 9 hours, just shy of 2".

Ha I was just checking the Aurora Borealis forecast map for Canada and the tip of the Arrowhead. Yeah last night and the 26th are supposed to be some of the best and highest chances. And of course I am and will be South and even though just outside of town still enough farms to have light pollution. Unless I drive for a bit

Always thought you were a smart man Dan taking Fridays off for the rest of the year proves it! Yep need to blow leaves out of the driveway before I wash the buggy and pack the truck. Chasing brown birds in the woods I'd prefer no leaves on the trees but that is 2-3 weeks yet on the border. My favorite time of year as well

Oh look at the time. Thinking it is nap time...

What kind of hoops do you have to jump through to trim a tree if it’s almost on your roof or interfere with your electrical service lines?
