When I walk down the cereal isle, I need a paper bag, incase I start hyperventilating.
The fit on cereal boxes is nauseating.

I thought the same thing. But "jam" was correct.

    I believe him.
We run 200 linescreen. (Smaller dots than 133 but more of them.)
We do use 133line on 1 or 2 color work and usually uncoated stocks.
One registration mark is about .003".
It drives my 2nd pressman nuts when I point out to him colors are hanging out.
    Probably < .001"

I'm actually quite impressed that you can get tight of registration on a web press!
We normally run 150 on our sheetfed. When we got it, I got our DPX calibrated at 225 line and damn did that printing ever look nice, but the silvermaster plates only lasted for a couple thousand sheets with that fine of screen where at 150, we can get over 20k off a plate.

We just switched over to processless plates. Fuji superia ZX.
The press chemistry cleans the plate on press. Not by developer in the processor but they are extremely light sensitive until put on press.
The fuji plates I was using were rated for 200k imp.
I've squeezed more than 300k out of them.

My time in printing was all pre-press. Most of the guys in the electronic end were into a pretty wild mix of punk/hardcore/metal/thrash music. One of the guys nicknamed this 'the lithography song':

Legit curious how the Frontier performs.

At the risk of sounding like blasphemy, I'm entertaining that as a next vehicle if/when the Tacoma goes out to pasture. The last NA mid-sized truck available.

Hey, it matters! Being out causes a color shift!

It's amazing how poorly printed some of the packaging you see on shelves is.

Partially why messing with alignments doesn't scare me.
All my roller settings are eccentric. There is no gauge for measuring movement. All the rollers need to be touching adjacent rollers by a certain pressure, or stripe. 3-6mm depending.

I like what I do. I just like to complain.

Press gives me combination of precision and finesse (with image reproduction) along with the grunt and braun of operating heavy equipment. (Oil, grease, gears, bearings)

Tremendous. Good smooth power application. More head and legroom. Lower crawl ratio. Comfy seats. Plenty of tech without being full of screens.
