I have a cart hwith a buck fifties hworth of hwiring and hwiring accessories.

 

I actually made myself a budget the other day. It’s amazing how much money you can spend on random crap without realizing it.

I tallied up eating out and gas station purchases.. those have come to a halt..

Seem to be good quality and they were very well packaged.

 

Too bad they only have 3/4" shackles. I need 1/2" for the rear and 1" for the front.

 

Really? That seems odd to say the least, most are standardized around 3/4" shackles with a 7/8" pin if I'm not mistaken. 1" is overkill by a lot and 1/2" is often inadequate for safety factor ratings.

 

My front bumper is definitely overkill at 1"
4X Innovations made my rear bumper and I thought they were specialists in robust off-road level equipment, idk. The hole is 7/8" wich is odd since the metal is only 1/2"
Maybe they are just for show since I would use the reciever shackle for rear recoveries anyways.

 

Ohhhhh OK that makes more sense. Yea the width/thickness varies by manufacturer but the through-hole should all be 7/8" which is how the shackles are sized. Pick up some 3/4" shackles with the 7/8" pin. I ended up going with some basic ones from ARB since they are branded from a trustworthy company, cost effective, and rated for 5 times WLL or better safety factor.
