Does pex hold its shape when it goes hot?

thinking about using it instead of just normal hose stuff to keep batteries warm
likes 3 foot piece from pump to wall

    You can go push lock

You push the air line in, and the coupler locks it into place IE you can't pull the tube out without manipulating the coupler with your other hand

I'll probably just get the crimping tool if I end up going that way.

Pex would look way cleaner, just worried about heat all around.

You know how much psi is on the line? It will probably be fine, pex does like to expand and contract when getting hot and cold. But if you add a few pipe clamps it will probably be fine.

is there a reason you dont want to just use a small piece of copper pipe?

Well then I'd have to learn to solder or definitely shark bite

You can have 5gpm and still be like 100psi. Gpm doesn’t = psi

Then Yeah that temp and psi will be fine. Pex is rated at 200° but its temp rating drops as the pressure goes up. Like its 180° at 100psi. But you’re pretty low pressure

Also thinking about pump vibrations causing issues with leaks, dunno if shark bites would be better for a litttttle bit of movement

They make compression that big for copper, you can also get npt to comp fittings too so you can screw it into the pump and just pipe off

Its a small pump, As long as the pump is mounted properly and the piping is supported you will have no issues with vibration.

Well that's handy because you won't have water in those pipes hotter than 212*
