I feel like they should have put a huge clove of garlic to jump over in the gap. Miss driving through there on my way from SLO to SC / SJ...

the true solution would be alot of work, that may be made worthless if I somehow find 2 more cylinder in the near future:p

had to suck-in the alignment to the max and move limit straps up and remove ~2.5” of down travel to keep the cv inner joint in the cup, kinda lame. But I kept the other strap points down low when I wanna go 2wd yeet mode

you could try to get a single +4.5 shaft from btf to see if that will let the wheel droop out better without destroying itself on compression

I saw the extra cab cage. Hoping they'll make a double cab cage as well eventually.

    Interesting Idea
im sure if you asked them nicely they can mod (or tell you how to mod) the xtra cab one for the dblcab. My friend has their cab cage in his ranger. it went together like butter & toast. I was using their ranger cage as reference to design mine. Then they go and make it easy for me and release this thang

Any LS familiar people/gurus watching this shit show? I got a line on a dirt cheap LS2, or an even dirtier cheap LQ9, what would you choose if given the option? Is an aluminum block worth while? Net weight savings is ~60lbs

What's your long term plan? Alum block is nice for weight savings but can't take the boost so easily. But if you're not running boost the LS2 is the clear winner for NA.

Long term turbo would not be out of the ball park I do tend to lean toward the boosted applications:spending:. And either way I go, the engine is going to be shoved into the cab to balance out the weight. As much as possible. Current foreseeable goals are for a solid~400-450 crank. Should be able to net that pretty easy with standard mods/ upgrades before applying boost

An LS2 will have no problem getting there NA and can take some boost, but high HP boost (800+ I'd pick the iron block)
