Close, that picture is of the drivers side which had a slight lean. There's about 1/4 inch clearance. 3/8 or more on the passenger side. The ride is much improved

I'm sure you've answered this before, but what grill is that? Custom? I don't think I've ever seen one like that before.

Putting my rear fender braces back on tonight.
The factory screws were rusting and some where seized in the weld nut.
Replaced them with stainless bolts and washers.
18-8 (304) stainless coated with black oxide.
The threads received a heavy coat of antisize.

I have also been looking over the entire underside of the truck. Changing any bolts that are rusty.
Here are the 2 bolts that help support the gas tank filler neck. You can see the antisize on the threads of the new bolts. Most of the factory bolts are not stamped with a class designation on the head. I am using class 10.9 bolts on everything besides the fenders. After the new bolt is installed, the head is sprayed with fluid film.

Tomorrow morning I’m putting on my second set of 6112s and 5100s. Slapping on some wheel bearings built by @05Taco4x4
and JBA arms as well. Also having to put new rotors on because mine are a bit warped. Sunday is my annual fluid replacement, transfer case, differentials, transmission, brake and antifreeze... I put 50-75k miles on my truck each year for work, so I’m trying to get 500,000 miles out of this sucker.

I cant 100% remember what I zip tied to, but it was a no brainer when I was in there. LOL pretty sure I ziptied the rod to the actuator before the nub... no problems since so problem solved to me... for now. Lol

Wished a farewell to the ADD tube this morning, capped and zip-tied the wiring, and swapped in the solid FJ AWD tube. Now my front diff is fully live (as it should be) and 4WD engages pretty much instantly at the transfer case. Time will tell if it hurts my mpg at all but I doubt it will.

Only real downside is no 2WD Low hack anymore, but I probably will swap the transfer case for a manual one with twin sticks at some point and I’ll get that function back at that point, if I do. With 5.29 gearing on smallish tires, combined with a potential future even lower reverse gear in the transmission, I just don’t really need a super low 2WD. Nice and fun to have but not really necessary for me.

Already spoofed the ADD at the 4WD ECU so it doesn’t complain that the ADD went missing.

It was a good time to do it so I drained and refilled the diff as well.

Finally getting around to making the upgrades to my 21 TRD Off Road. Had it for 3 years now. This is my second Taco. Had a 15 4x4 that I couldn’t pass up what I was offered in 2021. Dealer paid what I paid 6 years earlier. As for upgrades to the 21, just finished a Pro Grille with smoked amber Raptor lights and CaliRaisedLED Stealth bumper with light bar. A while back was the TRD Cold Air along with some minor interior upgrades. Pedal Commander is on the way. Next up is a suspension but will be awhile while I research what meets my needs.
