Anyone ever been to Inverness??

Inverness Florida? My buddy lived there for almost 30 years. Just moved. Great place! Lakes everywhere you look. Killer fishing

I had breakfast like an adult…for a change. Bacon and eggs. I was gonna take a pic but got busy eatin it and didn’t. Use yer imagination

 

College Game Day

 

My buddy asked me if I had any plans for the fall. I proceeded to tell him about my cave in the mountains where I was stockpiling ammo, water and canned goods. He interrupted me…

Yes, I have been there. Beautiful place and the first place I had blood pudding was at a B&B there. Got a tweed jacket from there ... somewhere ... I think. Haven't worn a suit coat style jacket in a very long time ... well ... 7 yrs any way ... got conned into it for my son's wedding.

How long were you there? What did you do? Is it small town-ish or bigger like a city? Did you go to any of the surrounding areas?

 

I was gonna go one time but I was fresh outta skerts.

 

We spent two days there, and about a week and a half going around Scotland. Lot of places to buy plaid and tweed stuff, and sweaters, as I recall. The surrounding country is gorgeous ... lakes and streams and hills (small mountains). Get off the main motorways and take the smaller roads thru the country. Take in a working (herding) dog event/demo if you get a chance...amazing animals and fun to watch the shepherd signal them. See highland cattle if you have opportunity. I don't golf ... but plenty of that if you do.
When are you going?

Size wise I'd call it small to medium ... townish, not city.

 

They ain't mandatory to visit.

 

But a passport is and I aint got one of them either.
