I don't know what type of controls there were, but there might have been requirements to record the process from start to finish.

Wish I was. I'm going to Vernon tomorrow but that's it. I won't be making it down that way until November

Yes! It's the first marching band competition of the year for Blackstone.

Alcohol will also remove most treatments to your paint. If using it make sure to wax/coat the paint again

What did you think about the show? It’s sad that the three of them won’t be doing anymore shows together. I thought this one was kind of meh other than a few scenes. The beetle scene was great through.

Got to the spot early yesterday. It was feeling appropriately Spooky Season. Dumped the wire, headed to the supply house over the river that opens mad early, picked up the rest of the conduit I needed, and piled it up. Made a little fire and some cowboy coffee to wait for my guy with the big machine.

    20240913-085606.jpg 20240913-084042.jpg

He trenched for me and then moved over to work on ditches and culverts. I spooled everything out, checked the measurements, made a couple of adjustments with the drain spade near the pole, and then shuttled the pipe over the wire one piece at a time. Rasslin' that 350 triplex was crap. I'm sore in places I forgot how to be sore in, and the chunk I bought was towards the inside of the spool, so it was a real bear to straighten it out enough to slide all the condy, on top of being heavy as hell for one dude to screw with.

    20240913-120028.jpg

It was hot as hell in that trench and I kept having intrusive thoughts about the forbidden purple drink.

Not so bad. This here's the pedestal end.

My guy with the excavator is an absolute wizard. Total pleasure to work with. After I got the conduit on I sat on a stump and ate a bag of chips while I watched him work on the culverts, and it blew me away how precise and economical of motion he was, and it was so excellent to have a guy who worked WITH me, not just FOR me, if that makes sense. Next week he's going to dump a load of gravel so I can start pushing it around for a spot for a 20' container and finish up some terraforming at the campsite while I make some inquiries with a hammer drill and some driving pins at the eventual home site, to see how the (slate) ledge rock at the top of the crest is to work with.
