Hi everyone I know this has been asked way too many times in the past and I’ve tried searching for a thread to help find the answer I’m looking for but was un successful. I’m trying to figure out wheel offset. I have a 2023 TRD sport 4x4 3 1/2 lift currently running stock wheels with 285/70/17. I’m trying to find one what the best offset would be with this tire size to get a little poke out and little or no trimming. 3 different tire shops in my area have given 3 different answers. Stay with stock wheels. -12 offset and -25 offset

I really doubt you're going to get zero rub with that tire size at any offset.

    Good luck.

Yeah i do have a slight amount of rub when backing and turning which is ok I’m just wondering if a -12 would make that worse and require some cutting?

It will be just as bad or slightly worse than the positive stocks. You need to stay as close to zero as possible. And you'll need an alignment guy that really knows how to manipulate caster.

That will get you no rub under most pavement applications. You'll still get rub when cycling the suspension and/or full rudder.

That is too much tire to never rub without doing clearancing. Negative offset will make it worse.

How are you clearing the control arm? Spacer? Gotta be something because the stock wheels will shove a 285 into the control arm.

Well, then your net offset currently is already -13mm on a 7.5” wheel.
