Had to replace my dryer recently. It was beyond repair and I was tired of putting belts on it. I bought it used for $175 9 years ago. It was a simple GE unit.

Found this one used as well for $250. Looks like it was rarely used. Simple GE as well.

 

Mine are Kenmore branded, but based on the serial #'s, made by Maytag.

 

Holy shit the genius! I was gonna dig out and use some concrete block.

 

Only took a year for the Chimney cement to turn grey (from black). Still holding up nicely after a full heating season.

Better than mine. Mine accumulated some weird white mold despite running one of those expensive ass $1000 whole basement dehumidifier/radon/filter things

 

I dont know if I can even engrave those sheerly due to height. My extension legs only lift enough to engrave yeti mugs n’ stuff

 

Yea I know what I'm going to be doing on my vacation. Hopefully I don't hit that oil tank that may or may not be in that area

 

Let's not forget there's probably over 2,000 gallons of water sitting behind where the washer and dryer is. Old rainwater cistern (that's what that pressure tank goes to) which I use for the spigots is concrete block sealed with tar. Been smelling more moisture recently and I fear it don't have much time. Shame too as my well cannot keep up with the demand of washing vehicles and such.

 

I have a 1/2 finished basement with a BR. Years ago I removed one of those short basement windows, rented a concrete saw and enlarged the opening to install an egress window. I used a heavy duty poly/plastic well liner. Used some sealant and Tapcons to attach to the foundation.

The flapper door is stuck so off to HD tomorrow and get another one like I installed for my hot water tank. Can’t help how it will look cause they butchered the siding. But, my work will be perfect..
