There should only be one way to the lake, unless you are talking about the lower jeep trail that meets up with the main trail and if so, take that as it is more technical/fun.

do you mean the rocky forest road vs. the lower part of the trail? we stayed on 4W301 all the way up. Going back home we took that rocky forest road back to the main road.

This seems like a bit of fun. Would I have any trouble with a stock OR? Did a date get finalized? Let me know!

Should be good to go unless the trail is in considerably worse condition from last year.

when I was up there recently a stock height 3rd gen was with us and there was two spots he just had to take the right line to keep a rock from getting hung up on his axle. Not a problem.

I have a little video of it when he started it and left. Kinda cool hearing the 2stroke sounds. If I remember right he bought it in Alaska, pretty rare because of what it is let alone right hand drive and grey. I think he said it was one of 14 and 1 of 3 survivors. He knew what he had and loved to talk about it.

He ruts aren’t as bad as last year. But there is more rock exposed than last year take your time and you should be fine. It was more technical going down as you can’t see over the hood.

Go lower it’s smoother the upper is just annoying and rocky. Went that way down.

I’m in. We just put a 3rd Gen 8.75” OR axle under my 2nd Gen (much due to @Shadowhunter ‘s knowledge of rear brakes), and it needs to be tested.

    Sept. 28-29?
