I heard about a brown bear that impressed Chuck Meacham (ADFG) as the largest he'd ever seen during an aerial survey of Whiting River, so big that the owner of a large RIB (rigid inflatable boat) that had gone up the river out of Juneau with friends bear hunting, gave up bear hunting when it walked by as he was waiting at his boat for his buddies to return. We watched a big boar across the bay from Hidden Falls Hatchery one morning, and I later measured his forefoot track where he crossed the hatchery pipeline up at the lake. That bear was 11 foot. A FS soil scientist in Sitka that worked with us on the Integrated Resource Inventory went out one weekend while we worked 10 on-4 off field trips, and harvested a 9-foot bear with a bow. That's in the top five of the Pope & Young Records (Fred Bear has two of of those spots, while he was guided by Ed Bilderback of Cordova. Ed was returning to the small boat harbor after fueling his seiner, Valiant Maid, and likely dozed off to hit Spike Island a short distance in front of the harbor entrance. The crew of the NOAA Ship Fairweather worked in mapping Prince William Sound for two seasons, and showed us the side-scan sonar 3D image of the Valiant Maid upright on the bottom of the "halibut hole" on the west side of the small island. It's shallow enough, but the large amount of glacial silt carried down from the Copper River makes diving visibility practically nil.

    Good Morning Sunshine
I did not ... but then I don't FB and the print stays over the video ... I can make out a kid is shooting something with strings to his tooth to remove it. Is that right?

    Good morning stock land.
Taking the day off from kitchen renovation and hitting cars & coffee this morning...I can use a break. This has been like having a job again.

Morning stockers :hattip: our stock 2014 Ford Focus transmission took a shit again. It’s the third time, recalled twice by Ford and repaired, so they say, and once by us. 150 K on it and wondering if it’s worth fixing again? Sure wish we bought a Camery:annoyed:

Thanks. Fridge is counter depth so that is taking some adjustment with the shallower shelves.
