Has anyone here with Verizon phones (regular phone, not blackberry or droid) had any issues with losing service randomly? I have never had this issue up until a few weeks ago. I have tried to do the *228 and reactivate and update the satellites but nothing has worked. IDK if it is my phone but I have lost service 4 times today in my house. Each time this happens I have to restart the phone and I have service again. I have a few friends that are having the issue but not as much as me. Figured I would ask you all if you have noticed anything before I call them up and chew someones ear out.... If I really wanted to lose service this much I would have gone to AT&T.

It's happened from time to time but usually only in poor service areas. I have crappy service at my house so I can be talking to someone and then I get the beep that the call was dropped. Otherwise no, their reception is pretty good.

nah i've never had any of the issues you're having. all i've had was the phone turning off randomly, even though it was fully charged.

all i can say about yours is that it will lose signal when in a house, or any building. but thats normal for any phone carrier

yeah I can't remember the last time I did not have service (without this issue going on). I usually have full bars in just about every building.

I just spoke with Verizon and they tried to run a test call on my phone or something and said it failed. The phone is 2 years old so I guess I am getting a new one. Hopefully it doesn't do it again on the new phone. Trying to decide between a Droid or just regular phone like I have now. decisions decisions....

did they build a new tower pretty close to you recently? if your actually to close to a tower the signal bounces from that with a weak signal to one farther away.

I've never had good luck with LG. I usually try to stick with Samsung or Motorola. Both have done well for me. I have a Samsung Alias2 and the wife has an LG Env3. My Samsung as worked great for 2 years and her LG has been crap. Shuts off randomly, gets white screens, etc... LG has put out tons of firmware "fixes" for it. Nothing has fixed it. We just ordered the HTC Incredible for our upgrades. They should be here later this week.

    that vvvvvvv
not that I am aware of. I am the only one in the house having the issues. Everyone else with verizon has been fine.
I have had the exact opposite. None of my Samsungs have worked properly. Had the Alias (original) for my last phone and the screen kept going out. All my other LG's have been great. I can normally get about 2 years out of each phone before they crap out. Anything more than that I consider myself lucky. haha
