What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

And now I deal with shoving the wiring harness between the windshield and weatherstripping for a flush look!

Any suggestions? Im using plastic panel removers which work great until this point. I can use heat or lube but idk ‍♂️. Thoughts?

Installed Corbeau seat brackets and Corbeau Moab seats replacing the original bench seat. Folks at Corbeau are nice folks to work with and sell quality products. Used the existing threaded holes in the Tacoma's floor to mount the Corbeau brackets on our base model 2003 Tacoma that we purchased new in 2003 for less than $12,000. These seats are firm, but the more I use them, the more I like them! At 213,000 miles makes me wish I installed seats like this over 200,000 miles ago. Better late than never.

Just wanted to show off my 2002 Pre Runner with white Nomad 501 convoy wheels. I love it. I really with it was 4x4. I might try to source a rear diff locker in the future.

 

Nice looking rig, and some nice looking seats.

 

The bench seat did not allow a short driver with a tall passenger, knees would be contacting the dash, no longer have that problem. The seats and mounting brackets are sturdy built.

Going to install 1/8" thick grey plastic sheet covering the back metal portion of the cab and install a console organizer between both seats. Will also post about that when complete.

Like you say, they look nice, too.

Figured it out. Outer insulation was too thick to fit so I removed it maybe 1.5 ft down and got a flush look.

Long story short LED light bar wiring can fit in the weatherstripping and windshield but without the insulating wire the actual power/common/ground wires around surrounded with! I put adhesive RTV on where I think the water will pool. We'll see how that goes.

Mostly going from a 31" tire to a... 25ish inch tire. Prerunner trans, speedo gear, and ecu in the low body.

I have a slight problem.

 

If anyone has a cordless grinder and a cutting wheel you can make a chaser tap with an old bolt pretty quick

 

I hate when that happens!!

Finally upgraded to the metal door handle. It feels much more sturdy and it was simple to remove and replace.
