My main reason for getting the Frontier as a rental was that I was curious....

It's not a bad truck. Has good power and shifts smooth (barelynotice it shift). The seats and seating position are comfortable. All the switches and gismos are easy to use and get too. Only complaint on the interior is the area between door an center console is a little narrower then in the tacoma. Outside of my knee rests on the center console grab handle.

    20240914_101532.jpg

Not sure on the different trim levels suspension differences but my rental is a two wheel drive Pro-x. The suspension is very firm. Not a good firm in my opinion. Makes the truck hop or jitter on some of the rough highway. But who knows how hard it was ran as a rental with 50,000 miles on it.

I would put it as a contender for a daily.

When you're done make sure you didn't bend the abs wire guard back.
The boot clamp crimp makes a funny noise when it comes around and hits it.

Any of my fellow Wisconsinites interested in a Northstar NSB-AGM31A? Send me a message for details if you are.

You are not wrong; however, you are evil. Two years. Then find me some 37's in that price point...

The skids shouldn't make a difference, I did all my boot jobs either on the bench with everything out or through the side with the tire removed and the wheel turned.

The first boot job I ever did was on my black truck after I put my lift kit on. Noticed about a month later one boot was torn and slinging grease. That took about 3 hours cuz that damn thing would not let go. Passenger side. AutoZone gold axle has been in there for 5 years now holding up great through all the Wheeling BS and everything else that truck goes through.

Thats good to hear on the axle. I have a NAPA in the bed storage as a just incase. Thought about just swapping them, but did it this way in the end. My skids make it harder than it needs to be if they are on. Bonus was I could grease the front drive shaft!

Hope that your son has a mild case and a speedy recovery. Chicken soup helps cure many ills. ;)

It says no camping allowed. That being said, there are some spots way back that a respectful and mindful fella could hide out without being bothered but officially, no.

I have an OEM in storage that needs a boot, an O'Reilley's gold in the box as a trail spare (for free99) and another OEM in a buddy's garage that needs a boot.
