Ugh I want to get a 6" lift, I just dont wanna have to go get 17's since I just bought new tires and wheels like less than a year ago. Maybe I can find someone who would do a straight across trade.

I have a question, sorry if its already been asked.. I realize once you get larger tires, the trucks odo is off. Is there anyway to re-calibrate it so your seedometer and odo reads correct. I know you can re-gear, i was just wondering is there another way...

    thanks

you have to add more weight to the speedo needle.....3 coats of plasty dip for .0785 thick coat should work for 33's.

:p there is a way im sure....bump for you anyway

Get a scan gauge and calibrate that for the tire size difference. Won't modify the stock speedo, but if you mount it somewhere visible you can reference it until you get used to doing the math in your head. :D

3" Body Lift, Fabtech 6" Lift, XD Series 17x9" Revolver Rims, 35x12.50r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers
You guys really kept me busy all weekend. I read through the entire thread. Now I can't wait to have my lift installed. I currently just have a 3" body lift riding on 15" wheels with 33" tires but I already have 17x9 XD Revolvers (black) wrapped in 35" x 12.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers (mounted and balanced) in my garage. All that I am waiting on is the Fabtech 6" lift which I ordered a little over 2 weeks ago. Apparently its so popular that it is on back order  Anyway, looking to have it done in the next month or so. I also plan to get rid of the snug top bed cover and add a tool box along with a lot of other little details including an ARB bumper with winch.

My truck as it sits today:

Is everyone with a 2nd gen and a 6" lift still running the stock leaf springs with the AAL and block that the kits give?
