found out an issue when dropping the bike on the right side. The exhaust can bracket likes to bend and push the can into the swingarm. Only one company makes an "affordable" high mount exhaust, so i think I will get that this winter. I was going to celebrate with a steering dampener when I pay off the bike next month, but I think the exhaust is more functional at this point.

I watched a YT vid and the guy said it could line up with 2025 being the 25th anniversary. Man, talk about throwing a wrench in my plans if they do come out with it

then stay away from a big block Guzzi. Guzzi is all about the engine. I ride with predominanty old timers. Each of them, but one, started elsewhere, one was Ducati sponsored, and also builds airplanes. All of them ride Guzzi's because they are simple and sound amazing, and pull like nothing else. For my part I don't have a tremendous frame of reference. First roadbike was a Guzzi, bought it from the guy that designed built and maintained the Hogslayer, so it was better than perfect. Riding that and nothing else for 6-7 years burned it into my DNA. But the sound....

RE: bike sounds...personally I don't discriminate. Almost any engine sounds good to me with a decent exhaust, I appreciate them all.

What kind of riding are you trying to do with it? I don't think I'd see needing a damper for most of the riding that bike would be in.
Well that'd be exciting to see a change. Maybe they'll bring estart to the rmz then, lol

Well i know im not doing enduro or single track. Id say between gravel/hardpack dirt to moderate forest roads with washouts and small whoops - somewhere to try to get some wheelie practice in.

Im not going to be dodging trees or large rocks.

I slept on it and told the guy this morning that I am passing. It’s really stupid to be buying a bike right now with our riding season just weeks away from being over. I would rather have my money sit in the bank than a bike sit in the garage. It just isn’t a good enough deal for me to pull the trigger.
    Wow that sounded responsible,,, :anonymous:

Thanks for the laugh. She really doesn’t care what I do anymore. Yes she thinks I am crazy and that this forum is just enabling me to make bad decisions.
