As long as we keep it clean enough not to pose a safety hazard we dont get shit about how the truck is

I usually work for the government, it's so universally dysfunctional that even if they cared about my vehicles they'd never be able to do anything about it.

My job doesn't care about my car (the parking lot has a strong blend of Overland builds, van builds, Subarus in varying states of clappedness, and a one-owner 1993 Civic hatchback), but one fun quirk is that if you're going to drive a long distance for business reasons, they'd rather have you rent a car than drive your own. The federally-set reimbursement rate for personal vehicle mileage is steep to pay out.. The folks who have to drive as part of their job get a company-leased vehicle.

Idk about credit but i occasionally have to give my job my resume so that they can turn it into what ever job they are bidding on to prove that they have the techs capable of working on what ever the job is.

They used to a few years back at the dealership, specifically for management, but like Craig said I guess they did away with it.

Some of the reasons behind it had to do with financials and whatnot, specifically looking for red flags. Being in a position where you are expected to know finances very well, you should be in a positive position yourself if you're to hold such a position.

Didn't apply to the sales staff, service, or any other part of the dealership.

Ik they do something similar but on a company level still. Certain jobs we bid on want to see the last 5 jobs we did at or above their estimate bid amount to prove that we are capable of getting and completing large jobs.
But that’s for million dollar + jobs.

Guess the Dean of Distance Education is a Tacoma enthusiast as well. Hadn't chatted with him much before.

just cause I don't wanna post in the other thread.

NM has some the shittiest forest roads out there, but their forests are also super clean and easy to hike around in

Wouldn't surprise me. Around town is bumpy, and I've ended up on two highways where you end up at walking pace because of them turning to dirt and the dirt is so wash boarded. Apparently they don't have any graders on their staff....

This was the "highway" I ended up on this weekend.

The truck is officially running and driving again. The engine sounds healthy and strong and stays nice and cool below 180f.

Right on cue, whole family is sick after Sofia started pre-k last week. House looks like a war zone where every battle was fought with Kleenex
