I promise I’ll stop beating the dead tire horse - but just curious if your wider tires now “poke” out by half an inch or so from the fender flares and if that’s noticeable from a rock flinging perspective

No worries. Good honest questions. Here is front and back:

I had PPF put down in the that area just in case.

Just finished my compression test. Front tires clips the back fender tip just barely. I have an appt at an alignment shop tomorrow to see how much play in allowing me to move the wheels forward. Seems like more clearance up front. Hoping for 5 mm. Even if I have to trim, I would rather trim the front than the back.

Thanks man. Not a crazy level of poke. I may add PPF for rock fling as well.

My current plan is 285/70/18 or 295/70/18… 295s may be too much girth but I’m not sure if the width or diameter matter more in terms of rub, although the 295s would def poke a little more.

That somewhat checks out - your tires are each 23lb heavier than stock - so total is 92 over the 5360 curb .. getting you to 5452 … but minus the sport bar .. not sure .. you musr have some gear in the truck .. plus the mollies you added. It generally sounds right. That’s a lot of payload to be honest given how heavy the truck is stock.

Ranger Raptor is 5,325 curb and 6,790 GVWR and 1,375 payload. So, they have 90 pounds of cushion on their payload numbers and the TH has about 260 pounds of cushion. To me it just seems like Toyota is extra conservative / careful. I think the notion that the raptor can hold more weight is bullshit.

Worked this morning with an alignment guy. He was able to adjust caster to move the wheels very slightly forward. Before, under compression the back side of both front tires would barely nip the back fender area. But the front fender area had plenty of clearance. Now all tires set at 18 psi all clear the wells without nipping.

Camber on right front was off from the factory.

I had read that K02s were undersized from BFG. So did not hesitate getting the KO3s. And it worked out alright for me. YMMV with other tires.

GVWR minus Curb is what matters is why. I think the payload number is a low number they slap on every truck for cushion. But I could be wrong obviously, and would like to hear Toyota has to say about it. But the fact is the GVWR is a high number.

    Diameter.

    I measured my KO3s. 34.25 inch @ 40 psi.

In preparation for a front bumper with winch on order, I ditched the factory 605 CC amp battery for a Costco Interstate 850 CC amp:

That is what the wire routing looks under the rear seats. No disassembly of plastic seat base needed. Wires sneak under it:

What it looks like at the drivers door sill:

There is a big rubber grommet at the firewall:

In the engine bay, there is conveniently placed M6 already tapped thread right in front of the driver's side fusebox. Just begging for a winch solenoid to be placed there:

I connected to the 5 amp line of the connector pigtail in the engine bay. Aux 3 on the dash starts the festivities.

How did you get access to the battery under the seat. It’s driving me nuts. Lol

Specs are in the French section of the manual in that bag with the included hose. Give it a try. You will wonder why they aren't all like this. It's almost as if Toyota took a look around and said, "Hey, we have engineers too. We got this."

Haha - gotcha - yeah haven’t even gotten around to it. I’ve got 3 compressors now. A 6 gallon one in the garage. A twin ARB portable. And now the bed compressor. I rarely air down when off-roading but I will more often now and just love knowing I’ve got the on board compressor and that it’s not consuming space in the bed like my ARB used to. I’ll probably do the multi tire deal as you’ve done.

Wow these are nice. I have stubby stiff lower flaps on my TH and dont like them at all. Wonder if its a Canada/US thing?

Found this in my manual… not far from roughly 3” wider… but a bit more?
One image shows long bed, other short bed (second image)
