Its hard to describe the location so I posted a picture. On the drivers side door there is a section on the inside "sill" of the window that has a texture plastic that is trying to look like leather. It is is black and obviously "Pleather"

My issue is I'm tall and it is most comfortable for me to put my elbow on the sill instead of on the door sol. Unfortunately, I'm in Texas and my arm sweats most times of the year and it leaves that part of the window sill with some swelling from the water and oil. I clean it frequently with a wet wipe but it is starting to show some permanent damage. My truck is only 1 year old and I don't want to damage the interior. I'm looking for a cover for this piece that would protect the OEM door sil material. I have some ideas for a DIY fix but I'm wondering of something already exists in the market. I haven't been able to find it. When I search "Arm Rest" I get the traditional locations not the window sil location.

If you know if one let me know. Thanks!!

I can't really see what is on your door sill, but I had a similar problem on my track and used Giro's interior cleaner with a soft bush to scrub it and it came out good as new. Hope this helps

That bit of interior plastic seems to be very low quality material. I’ve got various marks and scuffs all over mine and nothing seems to get it clean. I’ll be curious to see additional solutions.

^^^^^ LOL If I have that problem on the door sil...... There has been some freeky stuff going on. This is plain ole sweaty fat dude getting in the truck after waking through a 100+ degree parking lot in south texas. The sweat doesn't stop for 15 minutes or so.

I'm just using a microfiber cloth for now and placing it there for the ride but would like something that attaches to the door. I appreciated the hard plastic on my 2007 before someone T boned it. :(. Now I need to work around these "Improvements"

Mine is pretty nasty looking ( 2021 / 21,000 miles ) I guess my sweat is a bit more saucy than others.
Not too sure I really give a rats-azz it's not like I'm gonna be trying to sell it, my son is banking on an early demise
he knows he'll look good behind the wheel of that thing. It'll be paid off in a few months to boot.

I know the “diverse materials and texture” approach looks cooler and is meant to make a contemporary vehicle more desirable, but there’s something to be said about how the hard plastic interiors of cheaper cars and cars of yesteryear —they really do hold up well over time.

Get one of these for your left arm. Think of it as Driving Gloves but for your elbow. Plus it will give that NBA player look.

A ranger I worked with had paint remover sweat. Every vehicle he ever owned and his work truck were bare to the metal on the window sills where he rested his left arm. It was the weirdest thing.

OP- you guys may be related!

As a long term member of the "elbows pointy AF" club I've been using wrist relief pads (for carpal tunnel computer mouse relief) for many many years. May help you OP. Cheaper than trying to figure out a whole door panel

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is my DIY deal but the one for the keyboard instead. Need a way to keep it in place. Might need an old school foam only one and cut it to size. I'm thinking cutting a thin mouse pad and putting it there.

Funny how this topic came up, I was just looking at my wear spot on the sill & thinking how it makes the truck look older. Glad to see I'm not the only one this bothers.

I use HD command strips. Any durable double sided tape should work. Usually lasts 8-9 months before giving up the stickiness to the door. Replace and gtg for another minute
