Exhaust pipe super close to underside of bed?

When working on my suspension, I noticed that the exhaust pipe segment that goes over the rear Axel is maybe 2" from the composite bed.

Is this factory or did the exhaust shop I was at earlier in the month likely run new pipe, super close to the bed?

I'm worried about it causing the composite bed to melt, become soft or weaken it in that spot.

My assumption is that it should rest around the same height as or slightly lower then the bump stop contact on the frame?

That doesn’t look factory, especially not those two hangers. What did you have the exhaust shop do?

    Install a carven muffler.
I'm thinking of looking like a weirdo at a dealership by crawling under one of their stock 3rd gens to visually compare and measure.

Maybe it’s just the angle, but that pipe doesn’t look stock to me. If they did reuse the stock pipe, then depending on how long they made the hangers, that could put the stock pipe up closer to the bed than stock.

What's the clearance between the top of your pipe and the underside of the bed?
At glance that looks like the top is roughly the same height as the frame cross braces top?

Hard to say, maybe 3-4 inches from the bed. Probably about the same height as the frame brace. This photo is not quite as high as the pipe’s peak, so things are a bit distorted.

Thanks, I will need to look at mine and measure the distance in the next day or so.

I just measured, there's 1,1/2" of clearance between the peak and underside of the bed

The carvin is going to be obnoxious unless that's what you wanted. The TRD catback and Borla S type are the two mellowest systems. I have the trd and it's got plenty of grunt. Especially on long trips. You don't want too much rasp.

I got the TR which isn't as raspy as the R, but it still has a bit of rasp and drone, cold startups and anything above 2000rpm are a bit obnoxiously loud.. pretty sure my neighbors will hate me after a few weeks lol.
I have a vibrant super quiet 2.5" sitting in the garage to have installed later this week to hopefully tone that down.

As for the exhaust hanging location, after looking over the welds on the pipe as well as the photos from BL, Im pretty sure the rear segment is OEM, however it might be angled a bit as the forward hanging bracket welds are new, leading me to auspect it's maybe sitting 1/4-1/2" higher then stock. I'm going to check a stock truck on Wednesday or Thursday on a dealer lot to verify where the peak should be in relation to the underside of the bed.
