    :hattip:Good morning

We’ve got a nice weather forecast for the next few days. Lawns need to be mowed. I hope you all enjoy your Tuesday.

Yes, 12 hour shifts, 0600-1800. Work schedule is a 3 days on, 4 off one week, then 4 days on, 3 off the next week. This year I am working Sa, Su, Mo, every other Tu.

How about you? Are you still working nights? Is it 10 hour shifts?

Gosh I wish we could get 4 tens back; that's what the civilians were on when I got here still on active duty ... thing of the past I'm afraid. We work a flex schedule - 8 nines (10PM - 7AM) and 1 eight (10PM - 6AM) every two week pay period. I'm off Thu & Fri night, and every other Sat night. I take my 8 hr shift leading into my 2 day break.

Oh wow, that’s quite a shift schedule. Nice having a 3 day weekend every other week.

Yeah, it could always be a little better, but all in all, I like my shift and I do enjoy my job and the work I do. I’ve got 35 years in a few weeks, and I have worked all kinds of shifts/off day schedules over the years. I know you have as well. You adapt and make the best of it.

Good morning everybody! We are caught up on rain for the moment. It started as a drizzle yesterday morning and didn’t stop. Yesterday afternoon it picked up and the yard looked like a shallow stream for a bit and it’s still drizzling. I was thinking about going fishing this Friday but I’m going to have to look into what the weather did in the hills. I don’t want to waste a trip on blown out off color streams and they are still calling for 79/80ish temps in the mountains here. I’m ready for some fall like weather:annoyed:

I also believe I know why the tape was coming loose in the peak of the cathedral ceiling in my den. Apparently the jackwagons didn’t want to skim it out properly in the peak. I could still read the writing on some of the tape where the tissue thin skim coat flaked off. But in their defense I wasn’t happy on top of the ladder either. I have a 12’ stepladder and I had run completely out of hold on to reach it I was on that step that says don’t step here o_OIMG_3380.jpg IMG_3381.jpg

I believe I’m going to go buy the handrails for my rolling scaffold today. And just use the ladder to get on it or maybe get the trapdoor walkboard. You get a little bit of comfort being able to touch the ceiling where it slopes up but it’s still a little messed up.
