    BUILT, not bought...
+1 point for being original and building something yourself.

I'm no expert at welding, so I wont comment on the weld seams.

    stock, for now
hmm..Im a welder, but im not saying im the best...but please, for the love of god dont use that. The first time you go to use that bumper and it comes flyign off and hits something, you will be paying for it.

Also, whats with the tubes comming way down? kills the departure angle.

Props for the thought and time that went into it, just revise it a little

also, i know from experience...Those measly little welds arent gonna hold that bumper to the frame. Weld some plates to the end of the tubes, and bolt it to the frame.

It's a good start as a light bar or brush guard, but not as a bumper.

    What Mods!
Honest opinion it looks like a good start but to me it doesnt look finished, certain part of the bars should be cut and you should throw a skid plate that bar has some nice potential though atleast you have the tools and skill to do this!

You might want to research bumper laws in Arizona. I do not know what they are but I do know that in the State of Washington a bumper MUST be 4.5 inches in vertical height and the height in front from bottom of bumper to ground can't exceed 27" and rear 29".

+1 That's what I was thinking. Put the OEM bumper back on (behind it), and tie the loose ends (vertical bar and horizonal bar) together. Paint it black or body color (white?) and see what it looks like. Anybody can plop down cash (or card) and buy a look alike...it's the custom stuff like this that stands out! Great effort & Good luck!

what do you guys consider the front bumper. if its that flimsy piece of metal with the turn signals in it that aint a bumper. there is a guard for the condenser. but i am going to empliment something in its place with this.im not puting the stock back on because it takes away the mounting spot that i used for this. the bottoms where left to give me some play with the under body skids

ok heres an update on the bumper...

the bottoms have been cut it now has 3 different angles for the skids.

the bars run under the motor and the tranny to the crossmember where they are welded to a 3/8 inch plate that bolts to a 1/4 inch plate that is welded to the cross member. again this isnt finished it still need the bracing that i plan on doing and the alluminum but i will say it again. this is better than that stock piece of metal with my turn signals

    quit begging!!:D

it looks pretty cool............but what are the odds that you will rip the mounts under the truck apart when you wheel it(if you wheel it)?? and are you gonna cover any of the openness of the front up??
