Sounds right. Also the tube wasn’t just round. It had been flattened a little bit so it was more of an oval. I’m sure that didn’t help either. Lots of air moving
    thanks for the help.

So far so good! I like the area I live in, the weather has been pleasant, people are friendly, work is a nice reset. Haven't really met people but I kinda keep to myself a lot these days anyways so not a big priority.

Nice. I’ve had family in New Mexico for ages. It’s a neat place and you’re not all that far from the mountains up here or the canyon country around eastern Utah either way. Just gotta be careful around the various reservations, but if you follow the rules there are some spectacular places there as well.

Yeah I am happy to have Gaia these days to help show where the "lines" are. I need to figure out the rules for that but there's plenty of free land to check out in the mean time.

    Perdy.

At 16 I bought a 30-06 mainly because that's what my Dad and Grandpa both carried so we could always share ammo and it's common enough to find easily. They have a broad range of ammo available too so it's easy to change it up based on what you're looking to hunt, light loads for deer or a heavy load for elk

We don’t really do beatings, but can I interest you in a robbery? Perhaps a bamboozle?

Since we've been rolling with the subject here's an oldy I recently acquired.
It's an Italian Brescia model 1891 TS Carbine Carcano from 1915 so it should be chambered in 6.5x52mm but it can be a little tricky specifically identifying these older WW1/ WW2 rifles

I've gone through and cleaned it a couple times and everything seems to function properly but I haven't looked into finding a magazine or ammo for it yet
