Hi I have a question when making the switch mainly from P to R and R to D on the 2018 Tacoma 2.7.
It feels a tug and like a knocking but it is almost always the first time when I turn it on.
Has anyone had something similar happen to them, is it something in the transmission? Or the transmission mount?

What year and how many miles on your truck?

You might have someone pressing firmly on the brake while shifting P to R and R to D. If you see the engine wobbling around that is a sign of a broken motor mount.

Also, have you checked the transmission fluid level?

    Hello
    I have 105k in the Tacoma 2018.
Yeah I was thinking in a broken mount. Ok i will do that.
I didn't get a chance to check the trans fluid level because the taco doesn't have the fluid dipstick
