Thanks for the offer I emailed ECGS with a pic Sunday night and they got back to me this morning, pointing out that it was because I had it on the dif casing and not the bearing and pointed out where in my photo that was evidenced. Along with that advice, they sent shipping confirmation of a new piece, no charge. A+ customer service - D- for me not having it centered.

Thanks for the offer ECGS is sending out a new one, despite the fact that it was user error that caused the break.

From what I can tell it is only that cumby's that does the 20 cents. All the other around are 10 cents

I think if it is a newer location they give 20 cents off for a while.

The one up the road from me is in RI so it's about .75c/gal more expensive, and we go to BJs in Seekonk. The other gas stations in Seekonk are usually about .10c/gal more expensive than BJs. That one's been around for a while though, I think they remodeled it 2-3 years back? Might have even been before/during the 'Rona outbreak.

But the sandwich shop next to that cumby's in Seekonk (Quality Fruitland) is bitchin. Lee - Get an italian next time you're there. A large is two 10" subs basically, just be warned. I was hungry one day and was just getting that sub for lunch so I was like "Oh, I'll do a large". I'm a big guy, and that was a mistake. Delicious though.

Yes, Quality Fruit Land has assume subs. A friend of mine works there on weekends and during the summer. I always forget the large is really 2 full subs.

Trench is filled. Took the time to go on foot back in the trench and pack underneath and around the pipe with good clean stuff from the take pile, and do a quick search for anything bigger than a baseball and drop it in the "safe" side away from the packed conduit. Turned the dirt wizard loose, he found some dirt laying around and sorted it and the remaining take and I shoveled gravel for a while while he did secret things in the wilderness. Pics are what I came back to when I was tired of surveying and shoveling.

    20240917_141805.jpg 20240917_141814.jpg

My geologist friend tagged along and brought her doggies, who had an absolute blast. That one is a red lab and an absolute doll. She helped me retrench, and also helped shovel the gravel and nail the tape. I like her a lot. She's a local retired geo prof who is also a homesteader who is finishing up her pursuit while I am starting mine, and she has been of valuable experience and practical assistance to me on this show (so to speak).

We read the ledge rock in the tailings of the take, and followed the terrain up to the homesite, studying the excavation and the exposed ledge between here and the Big House site. We are optimistic that if I want to, it should be reasonable to jackhammer this stuff away.

Anyway, here's what I turn around to after we stake out and shovel out an outline for the wizard.

    20240917_141831.jpg 20240917_141836.jpg

That's where a 20' container will park. Soon.

We went off to do an entirely ornamental shitty labor chore, which I will show off when it's good enough, and came back to a stomped flat campsite. The dirt wizard dug out a wad of earth the size of a couple of Suburbans, shook it clean, laid a nice boulder pile and scattered the roots, found some more clean sift laying around, and didn't upset a blade of fern around the fire circle, which is the original hearth on the property. This guy works hard.

    20240917_141927.jpg

Tomorrow a half day, a decent gravel bed on the area he just stomped. Inshallah then it is a simple, brutish matter of batting down some 4x4s and putting together the pop-up bay. I'll update when I get the popup lashed down.

It's 10 cents here too, but I don't do it. The way I handle my finances, having stuff come directly out of my checking like that would mess me up.

I get 3% back on gas with the card I use anyway so it's usually basically a wash. Lately I have ended up at Shell a lot because it seems like every couple weeks I have another 70 or 80 cents off from Stop and Shop points.

I really like the Walmart plus, gets me 10 cents off at mobil. My local one competes and usually beats the cumby’s and shell, all a stones throw from each other. It’s tied to a credit card so I get the points as well.

Love the Stop and Shop. I always run the tank down first haha..last week they had a sale on energy drinks that got me 500 points.

If not for them, there's a local station that's cheapest by far.

I run 93 and there's a Mobil that's in-line with everyone else for 87 but is always significantly cheaper for 93. It's often a difference of 30-40 cents. So, I stop there if I don't have Stop and Shop points to use at Shell.

I try to time it too so I can get as close as possible to the 20 gallon limit. There have been times where I've had $1.50 off - that's $30 in the end! I'm typically not even trying to shop the deals to get the points, either - guess I just get lucky that what I buy has the promotions.

Pad at the campsite in, and while he was smashing it in I used his rebar bender to make a squirrel cooker and some rails for my cast iron cooking grate, and some super heavy duty stakes and pins for the 4x4s the tent will sit on. No tent today, I think the GF is gonna help me throw it up Saturday.

The dealer that sold me the truck hit me with the annoying "we'll buy your truck back!" Shenanigans, I had the same sentiment lmao
