Still recovering from whatever bioweapon the kids at my daughter's preschool concocted this year was, finally coming out of it today. Neg on the covid tests, probably flu or maybe RSV. Anyway, no fun

When there's an issue you're attempting to solve, do any of y'all find yourselves becoming reserved?

Yeah, I'm dealing with a CNC issue as I've been doing test cuts since Saturday.

Tons of troubleshooting until I finally reached out for help yesterday (with Langmuir) and this morning (with Hypertherm).

Apparently the level of thoroughness has left both of them fumbling. More troubleshooting later today :violent:

Careful, any talk of Land Cruisers summons Nick which brings his infinite wisdom about why or how they're the greatest things on earth (or most unreliable POS)

In short, an issue that points to the table, isn't resolved doing any table troubleshooting

Alternative troubleshooting IE messing with the plasma cutter, doesn't resolve it either

Imagine changing the stereo in your truck, and suddenly the alignment goes out, but performing an alignment doesn't fix it

The stereo in this case was simply removing the PrimeWeld CUT60 and UPM-105 torch (which was cutting fully square), to installing the brand new Hypertherm 45XP and new Duramax machine torch and suddenly cutting bevels only on one single edge.

In theory, this would tell you table/movement due to it occurring only on the X axis however it only affects the TOP edge of a cut and not the bottom edge on the same axis.

That's the sum of it; typing everything I've been doing to rectify it would take a ridiculously long post.

I got over the initial "what the fucking fuck is fucking wrong with this fucking fuck" part of it

It's just been methodical troubleshooting in this case - the obvious things to try next are

    1. run the hand torch, and see if it occurs

    2. put the CUT60 with its respective torch back in place

But I would rather exhaust every single option before performing either of the above

Did you know that measuring a resistance of 3ohms or more from a dinse connector to a work clamp means your circuit is subject to interference? Yeah, troubleshooting has gone this technical
