transmission seems to be shifting a little funny, today i really noticed it. doing abotu 35mph the rpm jumped down up and down a few times, and you could feel it in the drive train, also have noticed a few other things that just seems a little odd in the way the transmission is acting.

    2008 Tacoma 43,000 miles, sr5 TRD...

You guys know of any problems, or .... I don’t know kind of hope it works itself out, i am a way from home for at least 2 more weeks.

Just keep an eye on it and see what happens. I would say if it keeps doing it, have it checked out. Did you get an extended warranty?

Disconnect the neg battery terminal wait about a minute or so then reconnect it. This will reset the computer.

I bought my truck from http://www.easternshoretoyota.com/ they advertise Home of the Lifetime warrenty, we will see. I have since bought 3 cars form them. The 2008 Tacoma (new), a week later the 2004 Tacoma(used 36,000) (that I totaled out that weekend bent frame, axles, axle housing, leaf springs, bed was pushed into the cab) Was pulling a 8x16 trailer with a 78 Long wheel base Chevy truck, blew two trailer tires on one side and it went to crap in a hurry. But that is another story. A few months ago bought the wife a left over Purple 2010 Scion Xb Release 7.0 with only 120 miles.

So if there is a problem they will take care of me. The dealer has done all my maintenance, I have good records, but they said the lifetime warranty would cover most anything, even if a seal started leaking that they will replace it for 100 dollars plus fluids, at any participating dealership. Going to check into this some more..

Now of course this does not cover wear only defects. But IDK gonna check some more.

But thanks for the time will disconnect battery tomorrow when I got into work. Thinking I might replace the Battery anyway, due to the little green glow in the sight glass is pretty much all the way gone and, it is over 3 years old, don’t want to be stuck one day.

Next time you go into the dealer, have them check the tranny fluid level.
